16 Days
That's right ladies and gentlemen. We were in Florida for 16 days! But alas, now we're in New Orleans.
Our day began watching none other than Pirates of the Caribbean (or atleast part of it while eating breakfast). Then we headed out to New Orleans. We made one stop at Manatee Springs. It was interesting. It looked really cool, I just wasn't too thrilled about putting on Off, since I didn't want to get bitten. Finally we left, only to stop at a beach that had been visited by Hurricaine Dennis. It was devistating (though as we found out this wasn't the actual beach Mom had wanted to go to). She had really wanted to go to a beach that had no houses, but instead we found the beach with heavy devistation. It made me realize just how much damage nature can do. We saw everything from houses completely torn down to houses still errect, looking barely touched. After agreeing that we really weren't supposed to be there, we decided to head out. Finally, about 7:00, we were out of Florida and into Alabama (where we ate dinner). Once fed and watered, we finally arrived in New Orleans. I haven't seen much yet, since it is dark, but tomorrow we're having a walking tour.
As for the Harry Potter front, we are now in the middle of Chapter 26 (The Cave). I wouldn't ahve stopped, but Dad was falling asleep and it was a good place to stop anyway. So tomorrow we will finish the book and they will all know who was killed. And as of right now, they all agree that Snape is really a good guy, no matter what.
As for the tanning front, I actually have one...still. I can't believe it. Hopefully I'll still have it by the time I get home.
That's pretty much it. Oh and we've gained an hour so now we're only 2 hours from Hillsboro time.
