Weekend One: Mission Accomplished

I did it. I survived my first weekend of this college adventure. Speaking of adventure...Breanne and I had another grand adventure today. We went to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church. It was ok. Definitely more traditional than the 8:30 service at home :) And, one of the professors (Dr. Eckenroth) goes there. Anywho, I don't know if we'll go back next Sunday or if we'll try St. Paul Lutheran. I guess I'll wait and see. After church, we went to Old Navy (where I bought a jean jacket and a green...not pink....green shirt) and Barnes and Noble (where Breanne bought a dictionary and I bought Ella Enchanted). If I already had Ella Enchanted, why by it again you ask? Well...I've torn up the house numerous amounts of times trying to find it. But to no avail. I think grandma might have taken it with her 3 years ago when we let her read it. Oh well. Now I have a copy to read here. I love that book.

Elizabeth, Lenny, and I had Linner (dinner and lunch combined). It was good times. We ate at a pub, which had a lot of wonderful choices of food to eat. It was quite the dilemma as to which item we should choose. It ended as such: Lenny with the Fettucini Alfredo, Elizabeth with the gumbo, and me with the chicken tenders...oh and an appetizer of chicken quesadillas (or however you spell it :)).

Tonight, there was a faculty recital. It was pretty good. I enjoyed myself. One of the singers was a guest...and boy did he have a nice voice. Wow. I could listen to him all day. He sang many songs, though my favorite ones were The Impossible Dream and Bring Him Home. Another favorite of mine was the trio song from Gillbert and Sullivan's HMS Pinnefor. Oh Gillbert and Sullivan.

Well, I should get some sleep. I unfortunately have to wake up at 8:30 tomorrow. Boo.

Lots of love.
