Spamalot: Amazing. Definitely like Monty Python and the Holy Grail. The audience wasn't that responsive, but the actors were very energetic anyway. We think we saw David Larsen's girlfriend...but we don't really know because she could have been in the actual Broadway cast as oppose to the traveling show. If and when Spamalot comes to Portland, make sure you see it. It was sooo funny.
Fly: The morning after the show, we were on the road about 30 minutes when we diecided to stop for breakfast at McDonald's. You see, we had to get to the Westerville DMV to do something with my car and we were in a hurry to get there before it closed. Anywho, after getting our food, we headed back on the raod. To my surprise, I found a little something between my eggs and bacon in my bacon, egg, and cheese biscut. That's right. It was a cooked fly. Luckily, I hadn't bitten into it. So that was the end of my breakfast and my contribution to McDonald's.
DMV:We finnaly got to the DMV. We didn't wait that long wither, which was nice. What we needed to do was get an inspection of my car to give to the Oregon DMV people. It turned out to be more complicated than we thought. However, it did finally get done.
Graeter's: Dad had his first taste of Graeter's Ice Cream. He loved it. We tooka little walk while eating our ice cream. It was wonderful.
Flat Tire: Little did we know that the rear right tire decided to become flat from the time we went to Graeter's and came back from our walk. We tried to make it to the nearest gas station, but that didn't work out so well. So....now I know how to change a tire.
Gas and Oil: Once the tire was changed, we drove a gas station to a)fill up my car, b)change the oil, and c) find out wher the nearest tire place was. Since I'v lived in Oregon for my whole life, I've never experienced self-serve gas. Now I know how to fill up my own car. Aren't you poud? I also know how to put oil in my car. I just learned so many things today.
Goodyear: We took my car to Goodyear for tires. While we waited, Dad and I went to Taco Bell for some lunch.
Max and Erma's: For dinner, Dad and I went to Max and Erma's with Elizabeth, Lenny, and Jennifer. We had so much fuin. Dad and Lenny together make one great evening.
Company: This show is really good. It definitely is one that makes you think. It's not a serious thinker though, it's a comedy thinker...aka you laugh quite a bit while still thinking about the message the show brings. It was fun to see people I knew in it too. Granted, I know them through Elizabeth, but still, I at least know their names and who they are and they can say "Hi Crystal" back. Yeah, I know upper classmen. That's right.
19th Birthday Video: A HUGE thank you to all who were in my birthday video. It means so much to me. Thank you Brooke for putting it together and thinking of it. What would I do without a wonderful sister like yo? Die probably. Thank you for leaving messages and singing and whatnot. You guys amaze me.
iPod: I got an iPod for my birthday. I know it's not my birthday yet, but I was allowed to open up certain presents while Dad was here. I'm really excited about the iPod. Now I can workout to music and listen to it on the plane and all sorts of things. Oh...and dance around my room without bother my roommates with loud music playing from my computer!
Airport: I drove Dad to the airport today. My first time driving on the interstate. It wasn't too bad. I think I'll be ready when Nathan and Joel come in 5 weeks....I keep saying 5 weeks....hmmm. Anywho, I think I'll be able to handle driving there and back by myself, when needed. I did so today anyway...obviously.
Well, that's about it. My weekend was a lot of fun. I got a slip in my mailbox that says I have a package. However, the mail room is closed until Tuesday. Lame. Monday means lots of studying...since I don't have school and mid-terms are this week.
Lots of Love.
