My First Ever College Choir Concert

Overall, it went pretty well. All of the choirs sounded good...well at least I think the ones I was in sounded good. I don't really know since I was singing :) It went better than I thought it would. This does not mean I had doubts in the choirs...oh no...but in my own performance. For you see, this morning/afternoon/evening I had about a 7 note range. I mean I could sing to a high A but there was no color, vibrato or anything. It was just a note...and not a very loud/pretty one at that. However, once the concert came, I was able to sing much better. Still not to the leve I normally am at, but a lot better than before. It was a packed church this evening. People were standing against the walls. Crazy!!

I forgot to mention that on Thursday I heard a countertenor sing. He's really good. For those of you who don't know, a countertenor is someone who sings only in falsetto...or whose voice hasn't and won't drop. Basically he is a man soprano. And like I said, this guy was really good.

So basically this whole weekend I have walked around without my brace. It has been tough at times, but I have survived. Also, most of this time was in flipflops. I think I'll be able to dance soon! Hooray!!!!!
