An Unexpected Surprise

I got to spend another day at home. My plane was cancelled due to an engine leak. They didn't decide to cancel the flight until an hour and a half after they found the leak. However, they didn't know anything about what caused the leak for about an hour. For those of us with connecting flights, they had people there to assist us. However, many people were in front of me and not so many in front of Mom at the United kiosk. So, I went back through security to Mom. Basically, I would have missed my connection had I taken the flight (at that time we didn't knwo if it was going to be cancelled), so we decided to get another flight out. However, everything was booked, due to Spring Break, so the closest flight available was today, Monday, at 7:30PM. Not only that, but this was the last seat on this plane. The next earliest flight would have been Tuesday night. As much as I would have liked to leave on Tuesday, we figured it would be best to get back to classes. So I'm going back to Otterbein tonight and getting there tomorrow morning. I'm connecting to San Francisco, then to Chicago, and then to Columbus. Fun huh?

I have really enjoyed being home for an extra day. What fun.

Well, back to Otterbein for 10 and a half weeks. See you then.
