Spring Quarter: The Beginning

I can hardly believe that I only have 9 and a half weeks until I am done with my first year of college. I admit, this first week has been a little rough, but that's how all of my first week backs have been.

Today I went to LTOB and helped with set and paitning. It was fun. I learned that none of the cast really knows my name. They all just call me Chava. That's fine with me. I just found it funny that they didn't know my name to start with. But now they do :) Tomorrow I'm planning on helping again before rehearsal. I loved building. Even though I didn't do much in the way of building, it was fun to take some screws out. Haven't held a drill in a long time. How I miss building set :)

Classes will be fun. I'm really excited about my choreography class. Stella suggested we try movements we're really uncomfortable with. So basically I should try hip-hop. Yeah right. Me and hip-hop. Hmmm. I'll probably do some hip-hop combo for the 8 count thing we're doing for our first project. But for my final project, I think I'll do an "angry" jazz piece. First off, I've never choreographed a jazz piece, let alone a piece to a heavy metal rock song. I'm excited.

Speaking of dance, I am now officially a dance minor. Yay!

For Easter, I'm going to Chicago to meet up with my cousins! I'm really excited about that. I get to see Mark's new baby boy, all of my Hilde relatives, and Chicago! Woohoo!!
