Partnering
Today in elan, we had a day of partnering. At first, I paired up with Erin, but soon I switched to Caitlin because 1)Erin was too tall (though it could have worked) and 2) Caitlin's partner was the smae height as her so it was easier for both Erin and me to switch. I, of course, was the boy for most of this experince. But that's fine because I got to spread joy into Caitlin's day. We had a great time. I'd say we are the masters of partnering. I kind of wish that Bubba was there, so then I could be greedy and he could be my partner and I'd get to be the girl more times than not and have a partner taller than me. But alas, Bubba was not there and so my partner was smaller than me. At the end of the class, we were doing jumps. I partnered Heather at the very end. It was fun. Since she knew how to be partnered, I was able to lift her pretty high in the air. Oh, and Caitlin said that I was a very good partner...I don't know if she's ever been partnered, but that made me feel good.
In jazz, I got lost in a sea of hair. Heather had us dance with our hair down and mine got in my way. It was really hard to spot, mainly because I was already sweaty so my hair was sticking to me. It was pretty much a great time.
Play practice was horrific! I think it was the worst one we've had so far. James misplaced his script so he was reading out of Emma's and was missing lines right and left. People were screwing around backstage more than usual. We kept messing up our cues and dialogue. However, my scream was magnificent! And Mom found the shoes Sil was talking about! Yay!
I kind of want to go to a ballet/partnering class at NCD tomorrow, but Mom isn't ready for me to make the switch....though I just want to try it out first and then make the switch. But I think I'll go to my ballet class tomorrow and next week I'll go to NCD.
Well, that's it. Night.
