Opening Week

Well, the first two shows are under the belt. Now we only have to wait for the last three. Opening night went particularly well and there was a descent crowd too. Only a few minor problems occured. One: during "Our Little Worlld" I hit my cane against Rapulnzel's tower too hard and it broke before it was suopposed to. The only reason it got fixed was because my dad is super cool and came back stage to glue it back together. I love him! Two: When I die at the end of "Last Midnight", I fell onto the mat but then rolled off of it onto the other side. It might not sound so bad but I was supposed to stay where I was for like 5 seconds before getting off of the mat. It was preety funny. Other than those few problems, everything went pretty well.

Last night went ok. My personal performance wasn't as good, I don't think. Well, ok, only on some parts. On "Our Little World" I forgot to sing at one point, but at least my stick didn't break. My quich change was crap, but that's ok, we'll get it next time. We've done it before, we can do it again. My mike fell off right before I came on to say "And I warned you, you can't count on a royal family to solve your problems". I waited backstage a bit longer than I was supposed to because Amber was frantically trying to put my mike back on, but I said my line from off stage and then came on. Apparently it worked out fine. My Last Midnight" felt better tonight. I hope it sounds better (by that I mean more nasty). Sadly I haven't gotten the chance to watch the tape yet. Overall, the play was fine. I saw my friend Leah from Keiser. She loved it. She said that everyone was spectacular.

Then Jannifer's party guy. It was great fun! I was actually the last person out of her house. I've never done that before. Usually I am one of the first, because I don't really enjoy driving at night and I'm extrememly tired. But last night/ this morning I just stayed until 2:30. It was nice. After everyone left, except for Jennifer, Matt, and myself, we watched an episode of Friends. We did so because I am a loser and have never seen an episode. But now I have and it's all better. I had such a great time. Oh Jennifer, I love you!

Oh, it's time to get to church. See ya!

Final Dress Day

All I can say is....it wasn't as bad as I thougth it would be. Everyone did very well. Yes, I watched the tape and that is how I know. I am slightly disappointed that I don't get to walk on and pose when I become beautiful. It makes me sad that Sil doesn't have enough faith in me to get changed in time. The only reason that it didn't work tonight was because my mike got caught on my cape, causing the cape to get into a knot. This is the only night that it has happened. The other nights all that needed to happen was my shoes being put on my feet but Sil dimmed the lights before that happened. Oh well. I guess this gives me more time to change. It's still frusterating because I was so looking foreward to it. Maybe I just wasn't meant to be quick changed. Maybe I was meant to be the quick changer. But what can you do? Also, I think that singing a Reprise of "Into the Woods" is a good idea, but singing a reprise of the second finale would be better than the first because we just sang it. I figured out that if we sang from the beginning of it (after "though it's fearful") we would be with the orchastra. But who listens to me? Whatever. If we do it the way we talked about tonight, we'll get confused. I know it. If it took us up until a week before dress to get the 2 finales actually memorized, there is no way we'll remember the "Finale Reprise". Anyone else agree? Anyway...I'd like to shout out to my wonderful mike helper Miss Amber Kraft! You are my hero! Without you, I would be lost.

Today Devin and I sang at the Rodery Club. It was interesting. The space we sang in wasn't very choreography friendly. But it turned out ok. I forgot my own choreography; that made me irritated. But oh well. At least it didn't sound bad.

Tomorrow equals scary times for this witch. It marks the first day of working with my face. Ahhhh! I hope it all goes well!

I look at the clock and realize I was going to go to bed at 10:15. Interesting....

I Guess I'll Write

I was looking at other people's blogs and decided that I was a slacker and needed to write, so here I am, writing. Muscial practice went ok today. I watched the tape and we weren't bad at all. Of course there are spots that could be improved but overall it was a good show. I think it'll pull together nicely by Friday.

I'm excited yet not because tomorrow means putting my face on. Exciting: I get a face. Not So: People watching and laughing making it difficult for whoever has the honors of putting my face on. But oh well. Also, tomorrow means Devin and myself getting out of school to sing at the rodery club to represent Hilhi and promote our musical. For those who don't know, we're singing "It Takes Two". I just hope I get the words right. Oh man.

Dance team went ok. I have bruises all over. They'll look really nice on stage. I'm glad I only have 1 dress that is short sleeved and capes to wear over the other 2. I hope tomorrow goes just as well as today, if not better. Don't worry, my dad said that he would laugh loudly and clap after every song so that we could get used to it.

That's it from this end. I should probably get some sleep. Night!

Bend for the Weekend

I went to Bend over this 3 day week to be in a wedding. My cousin Krista was married yesterday. It was a very nice wedding, especially since both my sister and myself were in it. It was our first wedding we've been in. Even though we were acolytes, we were still excited to be in it. Now our fears of being in only our own weddings is dismolished. Yeah! Anyway, it was a joyful celebration. Fun was had by all. Our trip up was interesting because we left Friday and met a little snow on the way. Once Saturday came around, snow was everywhere. I'm kinda glad we missed the ice storm here. Bend did have their fill of snow however. On our way home, Stargate SG1 was our in-drive feature(as opposed to in-flight). Now we're safe and sound, though the dreaded English homework does await. But of course, Into the Woods will sneak its way into my schedule somewhere. "Into the woods we go again we have to every now and then..."

Famil again

Well, the reunion is over. Everything worked out in the end. Brooke and I went there saying to ourselves that it was ok that we were not going to have girl time and we just acceped it. Well, we arrived and the next day everyone except Sarah (my cousin's fiancee), my family, my grandma, and my aunt leilin went snowboarding. While they went, the rest of us went to Red Lodge and showed Sarah the mountains and had a grand old time. Well, on our way home, the hotel descussion came up. Brooke and I handled it very well and we were fine with them (Grandma and Leilin) talking about it until they said that the girls would have lots of girl talk time. That really got us. So what were Brokke and I, boys? Dogs? What? Anyway, Brooke and I were in bad moods after that, but we kept our cool. Once ome, Dad took Brooke and myself to a movie (Sarah was supposed to come too but she was in the shower and decided not to go) while Mom talked to Leilin and Grandma. When we got home, everyone was back and safe. My cousin Jennifer said that she would really like Brooke and I to come. She, my dad, brooke and I talked about it and she diecided to talk to her mom about Brooke and me coming. Well it worked out in the end thanks to Jennifer. All 6 girls went to the hotel and had a wonderful time.

The next day, we went hiking, saw a movie, went bowling, and had Christmas. The day after, Mark and Sarah left, as well as my cousin Loren (who is going to become a Navy Seal!). My dad made a treasure map and we had to hunt for treasure (inspiration from the movie National Treasure). It was sooo cool and a lot of fun. Our treasure was $20 to Blockbuster (not each though). Then New Years came around. We stayed u until 1 the next day. On New Years Eve, we played Cranium and watched the Bourne Supremicy. It was fun. Then my family drove home. We obviously made it safe, even though we encountered slippery roads just out of Spokane. I had fun and the reunion wasn't bad afterall.

Now it is time for me to finish my homework. Oh joy.
