Disney Dreams
I am sooo excited for 2 weeks from now...and the week after that. Why? Well....
I'M AUDITIONING FOR WALT DISNEY WORLD AND THE CRUISE LINES!!!!!!!
I can't believe I'm actually doing this. I'm really, really excited. At the same time, I'm scared. I know this is going to be an amazing experience. However, what would I do if I actually got a job? I suppose we'll cross that bridge if/when we get there. You may ask how this happened. This whole thing started last night.
I was looking online at auditions (like I do all the time) and I came across a date that actually worked. It was an open call for dancers and singers in Georgia. So, not being impulsive by nature, I jumped at this chance...well, I called Dad and looked at flights to take (which were very cheap) and then jumped at the chance. Unfortunately, I realized after I had booked the flight that I had a choir rehearsal conflict. Luckily, my choir teacher was understanding, so I'm just going to do some make up rehearsals or something. Then today, as I was looking up more audition things with my friend Claire, I noticed that the cruise lines were auditioning in New York at the same time another WDW audition was happening in NY. The WDW audition is only for singers (for B and B and Hoop Dee Doo Review) where the cruise auditions are for singers and dancers. I looked at flights and again....they were pretty cheap. So, I called Dad, checked my calendar and booked a flight to NYC to audition for the cruise lines. I am sooo excited!!! What a whirlwind adventure this is going to be. I can't wait! I might even get to see a Broadway show! (Probably not, but you never know).
Hmmm....I just realized....I'm going to need some lodging in NYC. I wonder if I know anyone....maybe David still lives there? Or maybe I could use Gabby's grandparents? Hmmm...also a place is needed for Georgia. But I think Mom knows people there. Right, well details on this situation to follow.
Now I just need to worry about a resume. Should I do one resume for both (that is have any/all performance experience on one sheet)...or should I have a dancing resume and a singing resume? Hmmm....I've already asked Heather about this....hopefully she'll get back to me soon.
The month of October is going to rock!
-Disney Audition in Georgia October 1
-Disney Audition in NYC October 8
-My birthday October 11
-Nathan and Elizabeth visit OH (leave OR Oct. 7 and arrive....?)
-Dance Concert Audition October 13
What a jampacked month!....and that's only the first half of the month! Wow!
I had rock climbing on Tuesday. It was a lot of fun. I get a free membership and can go whenever I want! I'm going to be in such great shape by the end of the quarter!
Claire and I are going to check out a studio tomorrow so that we can get some ballet/pointe in our systems. I can't wait! I missed ballet sooo much....and I yhaven't done pointe in a long time. How fun!!!!
I think that's about all my excitement for now. Please pray for me. I would love to get a job with Disney...but most of all, pray that I will have a great tiem and learn a lot from this experience.
Lots of Love.
