Graduating Early

Well ladies and gents, I'm graduating early. Hopefully, I'll be able to graduate at the end of next year.

My plan?
~Graduate with a BA in Music and a Minor in Dance
~Get my Masters in Public Relations somewhere closer to home

Academically, I can graduate early, but musically might be a bit of a challenge. I think I have everything covered...minus the junior recital I'm required to do...but since I just came up with this plan, I'm not that far along with the details yet. I know that it'll be pretty rough getting a recital time, but I think I can do it. Instead of doing a junior and senior recital (which I'd really like to do), I'll probably just do a combined recital....so like half of a recital to myself instead of 1/4 and then 1/2. However, I'd also like to do my own recital...like a whole hour of just me...but that probably won't happen. I guess we'll see when I get back to school what goes down :)

New Haircut?

For the past....long time....I've wanted to get my hair cut and dyed. Well, I finally got the "ok" and now I'm not so sure I want to do it. I don't want it too short....but shorter than it is right now....just for a change. And I also want to dye it brown-ish. Why? Well, I was a brunette once...I want to see what it's like again. And not to mention. maybe Disney would consider casting me as Belle if they saw me with brown hair :) I don't know. We'll see what happens.

In dance news, I'm teaching on Thursday. I'm pretty excited about that. I'll be teaching two classes of center work for Company II and III. Today, I worked on my emotionally attached piece. So far I like it. However, since I'm dancing it right now, I can't see if I really like it. It feels right, so I guess that means it's good. I don't know who to use and when to perform it. But once it's done, we'll cross that bridge. I kind of want to teach it to a jazz class. That way, I can look at it and watch who gives it the emotion I'm looking for. I know who I'd want to use back at school, but since I'm not there right now, I want to use someone here.

Tomorrow, Christa and I are having a brunch date at the Ruby Tuesday's Elizabeth works at. I can't wait!

It's Been A While

Lots has happened since I last posted here.



1) Nathan and I are no longer a couple. We're still friends, but not an item. It's been 2 weeks since we broke up and I think I'm handling it pretty well. No one has died anyway...yet...haha.



2) My choir at school went on a tour of Ohio. Michigan, and Toronto, Canada. I had a lot of fun. Unfortunately, I got so sick that I lost my voice for most of it....so I didn't get to sing my solo very often. But that's ok. I got to sing it at the places I really wanted to....Canada and at school....and a few other places along the way. I was the lost and found person, so I made sure no one left anything behind. Definitely a good job for me....don't you think?



3) I'm going on a road trip next weekend to Washington. I'm picking up Ryan from Walla Walla and we're driving to Spokane to see Amber and Megan. We'll be spending the night there before we drive home. I can't wait!



4) I finally found a song for my emotionally attached piece I'm creating. The subject? The Break up. The song? Dreaming with a Broken Heart by John Mayer. I heard it on the radio and knew it was the song. I plan on going to the studio a lot this week to choreograph it. I'm not quite sure what I want to do yet....though I think it'll mainly be a solo, with a guy entering sometimes.

5) On Thursday, I'm working for the studio. I'm teaching Company II and III. I'm really excited!

That's about all I can remember right now. So far, Break has been pretty crazy.
