The Past Few Days

I haven't written in a while. Since I don't have homework because of a certain English IB test, I have decided to type. Now the question is...what to write?

Crucible is going very well. We are doing a charity performance at 6:30 on Sunday May 7th if anyone wants to come. It is for the Katrina victims. In the show there have been a few slip-ups, but nothing too horrible. Ok, Dad yelling at Mr. Hale instead of Mr. Parris and at Mr. Parris instead of Proctor is kind of bad, but that's ok. We all still love him anyway. I am sooo proud of Dad. He has come a long way. And he is doing a phenomenal job. I am very glad that we have this opportunity to act together. I'd also like to give a shout out to Nathan. He has come a long way as well. I think this part has let him come out and be the best he has been in his high school career. This is a different acting style for him. No longer is he the pansy hero we are all used to seeing. As he said in his blog, it is a part that he can pour his heart and soul into. For those of you who do not get to see Nathan at his best...I truly am sorry. But don't worry; we'll have tapes. I can't wait to see where his acting will take him next.

This past Saturday I went to State for solo voice. I didn't get anything, but I didn't expect to. That morning wasn't a very good one. I woke up with plenty of time to spare. I got ready to go and was making breakfast when the butter slipped from my hands and splattered all over the floor, Mom, the stove, and my dress. After cleaning that up, I went to drink some tea and spilled that on me too. Luckily I had my Encore dress from 3 years ago. Anywho, we got there and I warmed up fine. During the performance however, I breathed in the wrong place for the second song, which threw me off and made the rest of the song not go as well. The first song was the best I have ever sung it, according to Karen, so that was good. But in any case, I wasn't expecting to get anything. I am just glad I was able to go to State another year.

Last night was the Mayfete Awards Assembly. It was great fun. Ok, the dancing of the Senior Court was fun. I am sooo proud of the Seniors. They learned the dance very quickly and it actually looked good. Of course, having fun choreography and music helped too. I must say that MJ and I make a good team. Our choreography rocked. A lot of people came up to us and said that it was very, very good. I'm really glad that I was able to be on court. I had a lot of fun choreographing the dance and performing it.

Yesterday I came to the realization that I really only have like 4 weeks left of high school. Kind of scary. I don't know if I like the idea. I mean, I will be in college soon. I will be done with high school soon. I will be on my own...fending for myself. I don't think I like the idea of being away from everything that is familiar. And after 4 years of college, I will be on my own even more...looking for a job, finding a house, and amy more things. Ahhhh!!!!! Life is going tooo fast for me. What ever happened to the days of playing with dolls and running around the neighborhood? What happened to Freshman year? Was it really only 4 years ago? What happened to the beginning of this year? As much as I love to say that I am done with school and I don't want to be there anymore, I can't help but be scared of what lies ahead. What will I do with myself after college? I guess I'll just have to wait and see...

I think that'll be all for now. Come see The Crucible this weekend. Little Mermaid is in a few weeks.

Michelle, I'm really sad that we didn't get to say goodbye. I am glad that we did see eachother though, even if it was for a short time. You make me happy :)

Nathan has come a long way, but so have you!!! You're a great actress and singer, so don't ever think different. Oh, and dancer, of course...
